Hi DaveKub,

These are some of the possibilites for getting "bad file mumber" errror using ftp.

1. you may not closed the ftp conncection properly in your code by $ftp->close;

2. $ftp=Net::FTP->new($host, Debug => 1, Passive => 1);
You can debug it by activating it as above and can check what is happening during the connection of FTP.

Please check the above and try to solve your issue.
