This is a very FAQ, although usually phrased in terms of "removing duplicates". Try perldoc -q "duplicate" on your system, or just go to perldoc.perl.org.

Do not rebuke them with harsh words ... but rather lead them gently - with URLs - so that they may learn wisdom.
