If you run the program on some flavour of UNIX, there should be a tee command which should do exactly what you requested:

/path/to/my/command -o ptions | tee /path/to/logfile
s$$([},&%#}/&/]+}%&{})*;#$&&s&&$^X.($'^"%]=\&(|?*{%
