You were given a 'straight link' - You comment on it below.
Maybe that's the reason why so many programs don't work straightforward these days or work at all.
You are refusing to do the simplest research yourself. Should you really be commenting on other's work?
Are you having a big time defending Perl is such a great language, if it was, you could save yourself all the textlines and just give me a direct link, that's the only thing the user was asking.
It has nothing to do with defending perl, nor does it have anything to do with not finding examples. You are asking us to do your research. I (and apparently others) don't want to do it. You aren't paying me nor did promise to do such a thing, so I have no obligation to do it. What I want to do is point you in the right direction to find the information yourself. That way you can learn how and where to do basic research. (insert something about giving fish away). This is a learning community not your personal tech support. You're learning something - People don't like being told their voluntary help isn't worth your time.
Like I said before - If you don't want to do the most basic of research don't start programming. There is a lot of research involved.
