While trapsing about the net, I (re)discovered Hoard, and began pondering if/how it might be applied to the sticky issues of threads::shared (and to my works in progress).

Have any monks applied Hoard to Perl or any other apps/environments ?1 Are the results as significant as the website claims ? If its as much an improvement as claimed, it might be interesting to create a drop-in replacement for Perl's heap manager for those of us seeking threaded bliss. (If only we can get rid of those pesky refcounts)

1. FWIW: Yes, I've Googled and SuperSearched, and even searched the p5p list archives, to no avail...tho I'd never have guessed that the verb "hoard" and Perl would surface so many hits!
