I have a 15 billion row text file that is someting like this:
serial,name,yes_no
00020123837,,y
I have another file that has a list of serials to delete. When I find a serial to be deleted in the 15 billion row file, then I'll delete that serials row out of the 15 billion row text file.
Without using a DB, what's the best way to search this 15 billion line file for specific serials and when found, delete that line?
The total size of this file is approx 380 GB and I have 2GB of RAM. If this takes a week to finish it's not a probelm.
