A project is a living thing. Ecology is a good principle in programming.

• Reuse resources
  • Use CPAN
  • Write documentation while you write code
  • "I will not use this code only in this project"
• Don't produce pollution
  • Does it already exist?
  • Could I code it better?
  • Am I writing comprehensible things? (to the machine, of course; to other programmers; to the older myself)
• Think on landscape
  • System hosts other programs
  • Resources will belong to our children :)
  • Is my code beautiful?
