Howdy!
The biggest thing I like about mutt is the way it can organize messages
in threads, in the same way a competent news reader can organize messages.
Gmail groups things in "conversations", but it seems to use only the
subject line, so it fragments threads into multiple bits. Further, it
loses the tree structure of threads in its presentation. Mutt will show
the tree structure, so I have a fighting chance of knowing which message
someone responded to.
I'm too lazy (and have too many other things on my plate at present) to
tackle the problem myself, so I just keep using mutt and whine about it
from time to time.
