Hi all,
I'm starting work on a project where I happen to need communicating with some "friendly" devices that require the modbus protocol, which is a low-level binary protocol used by (it seems) a vast majority of industrial automation PLC devices.
There are reasonable resources on the web, but almost nothing Perly. So, I'm thinking of RollingMyOwn™, to be published on CPAN...
After all, modbus isn't such a monster.
Suggestions?
CPAN Namespace?
Any heard working Perl implementation?
Life, universe and all answer?
Thanks!
