I still have my notes from 2004-07-21, when I downloaded the compiler and debugger for Parrot work. At that time, the MD5 checksums were:

Z:\>md5sum -b * af5938e97b212fcddf228c5ff3a23c53 *freecommandLinetools.exe c2f133aed6f720863258bb2dc4a862de *TurboDebugger.exe
the sizes were:
07/21/2004 07:03a 8,935,988 freecommandLinetools.exe 07/21/2004 07:03a 603,999 TurboDebugger.exe
and the locations were:
ftp://ftpd.borland.com/download/bcppbuilder/freecommandLinetools.exe ftp://ftpd.borland.com/download/bcppbuilder/TurboDebugger.exe

I see that exactly the same files are downloadable from the same locations:

Z:\>curl -I ftp://ftpd.borland.com/download/bcppbuilder/{freecommand +Linetools,TurboDebugger}.exe --_curl_--ftp://ftpd.borland.com/download/bcppbuilder/freecommandLin +etools.exe Last-Modified: Thu, 24 Aug 2000 21:40:46 GMT Content-Length: 8935988 --_curl_--ftp://ftpd.borland.com/download/bcppbuilder/TurboDebugger. +exe Last-Modified: Tue, 06 Jun 2000 17:23:19 GMT Content-Length: 603999
but are simply invisible to listing. I re-downloaded them, and the MD5 checksums matched my old copies.

Please follow Borland's own path to the files as far as possible (register, take the survey, etc), and use the direct links only when Borland's redirects are failing. I know that ysth has already done so, but Super Search might lead future monks back to this node, and we should respect the wishes of the company that is providing the free tools.
