I am writing a new module, JQuery, which provides an interface to the javascript JQuery language.
This is the first module I have written for distribution and I have a number of questions:
1. I need to distribute a number of css, image and javascript files. Since the files come from a number of sources, getting the user to download them is not practical. There is the option of using an Alien package, but I'm not sure that that is the best thing to do. What are the advantages/disadvantages of using Alien.
2. I have looked a module-starter, but I can't find a way of adding non-perl files. How do I do that, and how do I control where they go? Which method should I use to distribute - Make or Build? Is Build supported by ActiveState for ppm? If I use Make and Build, how should the non-perl files be added?
Posts are HTML formatted. Put <p> </p> tags around your paragraphs. Put <code> </code> tags around your code and data!
Titles consisting of a single word are discouraged, and in most cases are disallowed outright.
