This poem doesn't stand as an exemplary
Perl poem, but since it came upon me while debugging, and does speak of code somewhat, perhaps you will not look too unkindly upon its being posted here...
while learning to debug some privileged text
a gap forms
between the back, right furls of my brain
and the inner
side of my skull
after reading another sentence
or two of the tutorial
i notice
it felt
looked
i felt light, a bursting light
very pure
and with a striking joy protruding
it's faded already
it had faded
already
perhaps
that gap was pushed open by a
memory f a d
ing
sing ing
of glory
past
soon
i will grasp that rapture
