I'm trying to run the following code on my Win XP Greek... 
#!/usr/bin/perl -w
use strict;
use utf8;

my $file = "C:\\Αντίγραφο
+\\VOLINFO.TXT";

open FILE, $file or die "can't open $file: $!";
while (<FILE>) {
}
close FILE;

...but I'm getting the following error message: 
can't open C:\&#913;&#957;&#964;&#943;&#947;&#961;&#945;&#966;&#959;\V
+OLINFO.TXT: No such file or directory at C:\perl_scripts\open_file.pl
+ line 7.

Is there a way to circumvent this problem? PS: Of course, I'm not using html entities but the corresponding unicode characters.
