Hi, I am grappling with what looks like a simple problem but I'm not finding a simple answer. I have an array, let's say
@times = (5, 10, 20, 25, 30, 40, 45, 50, 55, 65, 75, 80, 90)
I want to remove any element from the array (to place in another array) which is less than 10 from it's neighbour (that bit I managed), but the other array must also not contain any neighbours who are less than 10 apart (so far not managed, instead I ended up removing too much of the original list) - all members of the array mut be accounted for and the distance between neighbours is never less than 5, so this should be possible.
So, for the above example, I want to end up with:
@times1 = (5, 20, 30, 40, 50, 65, 75, 90)
@times2 = (10, 25, 45, 55, 80)
I think.
How to acheive this programmatically?
Colin
