I think it flow better thus:

Ode to a Reaped Node

O Woe! to you and your node
of Meditation or bits of code

For even if it's ripe with hacking
it was judged by others as severly lacking

Regardless of novice or saint up high
your posting is just another cherry pie

So though in Perl it may be steeped
Take a gander: your node's been reaped!
