Is it conceivable or potentially useful to drive either a Perl application or .NET application from an Excel spreadsheet application? My Excel application already has pull down menu options in place and acts as a very useful prototype for the final product. I would like to transfer the logic held in back sheets as easily as possible. I don’t fancy transferring the back sheet menu lists and associated logic to a combination of text files, database tables and arrays. Maybe I’m trying to shy away from some hard work. Criticisms welcome.
