Hi Monks!
I need to send email alerts from perl script, but I don't have Mail::Mailer installed, and I can't find how to make Net::SMTP works.
Here the really small code I used to try it:
#!/usr/local/bin/perl
system("cls");
$mail_to = ... #sorry, I won't give you my mail so easily
$my_host = ... #once again, I'm not quite sure I should give you that
use Net::SMTP;
$smtp = Net::SMTP->new('$my_host');
$smtp->mail($ENV{USER});
$smtp->to($mail_to);
$smtp->data();
$smtp->datasend("To: $mail_to\n");
$smtp->datasend("\n");
$smtp->datasend("A simple test message\n");
$smtp->dataend();
$smtp->quit;
print "Hello World!\n";
I'm sure you'll find out where I missed something!
Thanks in advance.
