Using the Search bar (up on every Perlmonks page), I come up with Mail attachments, Sending attachments with Sendmail and How do I send an email with Perl (including an attachment)?. Have a look at these.

They all use modules to send mail, mostly MIME::Lite from what I glance.

We really need a forced search on anonymous postings that searches each topic line for "similar questions" ...
