In the ongoing saga of my client/server learning experience I continue to come across documentation recommending the re-open of STDIN and STDOUT in the child process so as not to cause the script to hang. To make a long story short I didn't understand how to do this while I was developing the code, and managed to get several hundred lines to work fine without it. Now I'm having real problems with the STDIO buffers - namely autoflush is enabled but the buffers seem to be sticking around. And I'm wondering if this might have anything to do with not redirecting my childs STDIN and STDOUT - any clues?
