Hi, this is my first post on PerlMonks hope you guys can help me on this one.
On my local UNIX system I am trying to write some automation scripts for some mundane clearcase tasks. I am using tcshell and using PERL v5 and the version control system Clearcase.
I am trying to get the following line working inside my perl script inside the 'system' command but I dont seem to be able to get it right.
cleartool lsvob -short | \
sort | \
sed 's/.*/test -d "&\/." \&\& echoexec cleartool find & -versi
+on \"lbtype(LABEL1) \&\& ! lbtype(LABEL2)\" -print /' | \
sh
I get a multitude of errors (things like mis-placed " or missing ')' ) when I attempt this, I am almost certain it is due to mis-placed or missing escape characters but I dont seem to be able to get it right.
Anyone have any suggestions?
