Forcing usage of $SIG{__WARN__/__DIE__} sounds poor. However, does it make sense to provide an option for using carp/croak vs. cluck/confess vs warn/die ?
My criteria for good software:
  1. Does it work?
  2. Can someone else come in, make a change, and be reasonably certain no bugs were introduced?
