On my Linux WS, if I run

locale -c LC_TIME

the first line of the output shows

Sunday;Monday;Tuesday;Wednesday;Thursday;Friday;Saturday

What do you see on your station ? Maybe that is a track to follow. I'm pretty sure that there are locales where this is different, altough I don't know where to look for it.
