I would like to be able run some test cases against a thin client application. There is currently no available test suite available from the vendor for this. Essentially, the application server runs on a W2xxx server machine from either Apache or IIS(IIS in this case). The client is nothing but a web browser. The user interface consists of a group of screens containing various widgets(buttons, text fields, drop-down lists, date/time fields etc... . The application is a whole series of java apps.

So, what I want to do is 'drive' the client through a bunch of scenarios that simulate the use/abuse of a user.

Just in case someone is familiar with it, the application is GE Fanucs' RTIP.

I have done numerous web searches for specific test product types without finding anything that is even close to what I need/want. Soooooo, I have decided that perhaps I can write my own using some of the perl web form modules. Any advice, suggestions, or synopsis of relevant/similar experiences would be most appreciated! Update: As it turns out, RTIP refuses to run in any browser other than IE. The Selenium suggestion was excellent though, and led me to a few others such as jameleon. So, my search continues, but thanks for the help!
