Your question makes very little sense to me. Why? Because a Perl array is a linked list. It's not "like" a linked list. It's not "mostly" a linked list. There is no difference.
My criteria for good software:
  1. Does it work?
  2. Can someone else come in, make a change, and be reasonably certain no bugs were introduced?
