as it is my birthday today, too, this is my excuse to start
a new thread =)
i'm a bit older than perl but let's not talk about
this.
when i wrote my first (really ugly) perl script in the
summer of '98 i had gone through learning Miranda (as my
first programming language), Modula2 and Java the preceding
two years. so, what else could i do than fall in love with
perl?
only in 2001 i learned
that there is a community that comes
together to workshops and conferences and monger meetings.
i've been at some really crazy conferences since then and along the
way visited some nice european cities.
Thank you perl!
