Now let me turn the table on you, instead of talking about projects in perl, let's talk about perl itslef - perl 6.

If perl 6 is evetually delivered, if that ever happens, is it then a successful project? The answer is NO, and it has today already go down the history book as a failed project. The good news is that this failure benefits lots of people, as it is a showcase of what to do and what not to do, in terms of software development.

It is sad for perl, but it is good for IT in general.
