There are bunch of nice little features, but they are only attractive to those who are already using perl. To those who are not, for one thing, OO is still missing. I knew that you wouldn't agree and let's don't get into the "perl is OO" shit... but doesn't matter, that is how most IT guys look at languages today.
Lots of those new features are nothing new to the rest of the IT world, and they simply should have been there long time ago, so it won't sway anyone.
