I totally agree and have proceeded to patching the node / sitedoclets already. "Contact Info" therein is marked as "deprecated" until the patch for add your code is applied.

update: sourcecode display page and sourcecode edit page patched. Still to do are, apparently, Snippet Mover, Sourcecode Mover, node content xml page and allowed xml fields. Someone else with more powers has to step in.
