Hi This is a repost of a question someone else asked that was never really answered as they found another solution (included with this post).
Does anyone have a very simple example of using "Email::MIME::Attachment::Stripper" and "Mail::POP3Client"together to extract the attachmnet from a pop3 mail???
For love nor money I cant get this to work. I can read in the mails ok, (complete with attachmnets) - but cant get the stripper to work. any help gratefully appriciated. Ta Tufty True

Based on the documentation this looks rather straight, b +ut I have not managed to get it to work. The main part of my code loo +ks the following way: use strict; use Mail::POP3Client; use Email::MIME; use Email::MIME::Attachment::Stripper; my $pop = new Mail::POP3Client( USER => 'xxx', PASSWORD => "xxx", HOST => "pop.googlemail.com", USESSL => 'true', ); print "Status: ". $pop->State()." No of email:". $pop->Count(); if ($pop->Count()) { my $mail=$pop->HeadAndBody(1); my $parsed = Email::MIME->new($mail);# my $stripper = Email::MIME::Attachment::Stripper->new($parsed); my @attachments = $stripper->attachments; print;# used to be able to check @attachments in the debugger } $pop->Close(); exit;
