It's interesting how there's any number of (in)famous bars in SF and fantasy, but so few in detective stories and westerns. You'd think the bars in High Noon or Shane or The Magnificent Seven would be memorable, but none of them come to mind.

So The Last Chance Saloon gets to stand in for all of them.
