I'm trying to hook up my unix system to the internet and was wondering how to do this? I have a 3com ethernet card for my gateway labtop. The ethernet card is recognized when I try and change the IP Address I can't figure out how to do so, and when I try and connect to the internet my online cable modum hook up is with usb and the computer say's usb device not recognized. Anyone know what I can do? I have installed perl properly and want to be able to use it on my site.
