Not sure where the error is happening. Here is the logger code:

Try Devel::Trace, narrow it down. Obviously appender is expecting a level argument that must be defined ... "undefined value provided for log level" -> http://search.cpan.org/src/DROLSKY/Log-Dispatch-2.21/lib/Log/Dispatch/Output.pm
