I'm amazed what I pick up just looking at the postings here. This is a silly example and my admission will probably earn me much -- but any-way :) I have sometime written my split functions using '' instead of the normal //'s as I thought there was no need in wasting a RE... so I saw this post and I thought, well with
you wouldn't need to escape that +. Just as well I tested before posting :) and yes an earlier visit to the man page would have cleared it sooner... But stupid as this example may have been it does demonstrate the value of having questions of various levels for monks to work on and the value of reading the questions and answers even when they are not directly relevant to the problem space currently worked upon.# code example that won't work split '+'
back to your regular scheduling now :)
