Hi gang,

I have a Perl/politics/help question.
Details:

• Despite my rank, I am still a neophyte Perl hack.
• I have my websites hosted on a friends server for free
• I want to have a web email publishing/subscription system
• I'm afraid of opening a hole in security if I use a script from somewhere else and auto install it eg. Soupermail Install
• It would take me weeks (I think) to write my own and security would become a bigger issue
• My friend said he would write one for me in about 30 minutes, a week ago
• He's really busy, all the time

Question- do I:

1. Write my own (given that it will be a first time)
2. Bug, cajole and beg my friend to write it
3. Install the free one and hope nothing bad happens...

Any input is appreciated.
