Hello All,

I am thinking that I would like to build a web cam customer support / sales system into my web site at skydive.uk.com.

Currently, I use flowplayer to play video clips on the site and I was wondering if I could use a similar arrangement to receive a video stream from a perl cgi script/api that is getting its video input from a customer support web cam from somewhere else in the world. The ideal is for a site visitor to click on some widget that opens a customer support/sales rep's web cam - better still, have the rep be able to view the site visitors cam as well.

Ultimately I suppose, I want to create video conferencing and a chat messenger services directly from the web site to the company or organisation running it. I have a chat client that is externally hosted that provides a chat service but some how you feel blind when using it - if only you could see them - its a whole new dimension. Clearly the technology exists already - I have seen systems advertised for windows based servers and if you look at sites like person.com video conferencing is working between web site users already. - Does any one know of such a system already built that I can use or is there anyone who has experience in these systems that can give me some advice on where to start or do I have to build it from scratch in which case is there anyone out there who would want to help out or get involved in such a venture?
