Don't you think that your statement "I tried following script." is slightly misleading if this is not true? The script you posted demonstrates a different problem from the one you are actually facing.

Feel free to post your full script (please read the advice I gave you previously regards posting and formatting), or a cut down version removing any sensitive information.

Have you read the WWW::Mechanize documentation? Can you access any site at all using WWW::Mechanize? Are you behind a proxy server or do you have any other connectivity issues?
