Hi,
If there is an array with many elements in it, how do i create arrays of arrays with 2 elements in each array. I would appreciate if anybody can help me explain doing this. thanks in advance.
@array =("1","2","3","4","5","6","7","8");
The output I am looking for is
@new_array =(["1", "2"], ["3","4"],["5","6"],["7","8"]);
My code:
@array =("1","2","3","4","5","6","7","8");
for($x=0;$x<=$#array;$x++){
push @new_array, $array[$x];
{
print "@new_array\n";
This prints the entire array but will be thankful if anyone of you can explain me how to push/store 2 elements of each in a @new_array( 1 and 2 as a array, 3 and 4 as a array...) i.e the new array should contain:
@new_array =(["1", "2"], ["3","4"],["5","6"],["7","8"]);
Thanks,
Junior
