When I invoke the Perl script, the argument has line breaks and I want to keep it: 
cqperl.exe  C:/scripts2/CreateER.pl  "Description Goes Here

In Perl script, when I get the argument using this code: 
$description = @ARGV[0];

[download]
the value of $description is: 
Description Goes Here a a a

[download]
All the line breaks are lot. It appears perl will remove all line breaks in the argument. How can I keep the line breaks when I get the argument in Perl? Thanks very much.
