You must have missed the bits where I pointed out that YaBB was missing important features like threading, YaBB didn't support users being in multiple groups without third-party add-ons, YaBB mixes code and presentation, and YaBB's code was utterly hideous!
The only way that could possibly be read as an attack on forums in general is if those criticisms also applied to all other forums. We know that at least the first doesn't, as threading is supported here.
But as Brother Assemble wrote, my information may be quite out-of-date now, so I suppose YaBB might be worth looking at. Just be wary.
