Hi All, I have a file something like this:
Experiment: rs5443-61902_923_922_921_291008 Active filters: FAM (483-533), VIC /HEX / Yellow555 (523-568)
Include Color Pos Name 483-533 523-568 Call Score Status

Other than the first line ("Experiment:") all the other are tab delimited.

I have to split the "Experiment: rs5443-61902_923_922_921_291008 Active filters: FAM (483-533), VIC /HEX / Yellow555 (523-568)" line.

I would like to parseout rs5443, 61902 and the 291008.This could vary in each file. And then has to parse through the entire file and get the rest uploaded to the database. I feel the rest is not a problem. But being a 'newbee' to perl I cant find a redundant way to do get the first line parsed. Could any one give me some suggestions/directions how to get them parsed.
