We do not only need people to ask well, we also need to encourage them to post again! So maybe we should not scare them just as much in the "Now you're getting close to a good question." section. And remind them right away that a negative node reputation means that there's a problem with the node, not the person. That the fact that we downvoted the node doesn't mean that he/she should go away, but rather that he/she should do better when asking. To help us help him/her.
