First of all, please keep in mind that I am a newb!

I'm looking for an elementary level explanation of what dlls are, and how to design them? If you could provide an example of how a dll works, that would also be awesome.

Lastly, I'd really like to learn about how to integrate perl programs into dll files, or have dlls call perl files?
