I installed the ActiveState Perl distribution and installed Win32::IE::Mechanize using the University of Winnipeg PPM Repository. Using a local web server and a very simple HTML page containing one form and one select, I tried using your code to get the same effect. I had no success whatsoever. However, when using the sample code from Win32::IEAutomation, it worked just fine. My recommendation based on this experience (which is not exhaustive to be sure) is to simply continue using Win32::IE::Automation. Is there some reason you wanted to use Win32::IE::Mechanize in particular?
