Hi All, im using the following code: 
my $x = 4; 
my $y = 4; 
for (1..$x) { 
    print "*" x $y, "\n"; 
}

the output i get is:
****
****
****
****
but i want to print a hollow square of asterisks like this:
****
*    *
*    *
****
how do i do this? what changes do i make to my code? thanks in advance
