You may find GrandFather's PerlMonks Editor useful for producing correct PM markup.

I've tweaked my Free Nodelet Settings quite a bit to provide easily-copied info about nodes; this works very well with Firefox extensions such as AutoCopy that automagically copy selected text to my Clipboard. (You can find some of this goodness on planetscape's scratchpad, here ; see also Free Nodelet gets templating features.)

Another very useful tool is holli's Monk Links - Copy Perlmonks-links to the clipboard in on-site-format Firefox add-on. (That will probably require some tweaking for more recent versions of FF, just so FF understands that the add-on will work; contact me if you need help with that.)

You may also wish to peruse keywords baby steps for some discussion of a feature that may relate to your thinking.
