After being forced by another round of cuts to become the chief executive, IT director and strategic deep thinking strategist of my own company I found I quickly needed to pick up some more skills. This is not a rant against the true perlish faith or any such thing, but merely a reflection of my personal circumstances at the moment. That's going as well as might be expected and I am optimistic about the future. However now that I am frequenting other forums I am really missing perlmonks. I have seen questions I could answer which have laid unanswered for days. (I did answer and the guy had already solved it.) My first question has been ignored and I expect my next more serious one will be as well. In perl monks you always get an answer within a day and it is usually polite and helpful. So missing you guys.
