You need to close the TOENSCRIPT handle to tell the process that you've finished writing to it. Move close(TOENSCRIPT) above the line where you read the output, like so: 
print TOENSCRIPT (@burstpage);
close(TOENSCRIPT);

my @burstpage_ps = <FROMENSCRIPT>;
close(FROMENSCRIPT);
