Hey all, i am trying to use the Tk::MatchEntry module with a window that is always on top. The problem is that the popup list for Tk::MatchEntry is hidden under the window when the user types. Do you all have any suggestions?
Attempts to fix include:
- -Used both Tk::StayOnTop and $window->attributes(-topmost => 1)
- -Tried toggling the "always on top" status of the window on Tk::MatchEntry's -listcmd and -command events. This takes focus away from the window however so it does not work.
Background:
- OS:windowsxp
- perl: ActivePerl (5.10.0)
Example Code
use Tk;
require Tk::StayOnTop;
require Tk::MatchEntry;
$desc = "";
@opts = ("test","one","two","three");
$window = MainWindow->new;
$window->Button(-text => "Button")->grid(-row=>1,-column=>0);
$Entry = $window->MatchEntry(-textvariable => \$desc)->grid(-row=>0,-c
+olumn=>0);
$Entry->choices(\@opts);
#$window->after(1000,sub {$window->attributes(-topmost => 1)});
$window->after(1000,sub {$window->stayOnTop()});
MainLoop;
