Hi Everybody, I have been really baffled this one month that I have restarted learning Perl. There is basically two ways to using a certain thing (e.g /regex/) that is list context and scalar context in the language, so some patterns return the number of iteration in one context and in the other context they return an expression (performing what they originally are good at)...my question is, Generally ,while reading code how can I efficiently judge that a certain line of code is in list context and another (though seemingly similar one) line of code be a scalar context...I have posted this here because I failed to find useful consensus in form of examples for me to comprehend and because I don't know another programming language that has this powerful capability which I bet can be such a strong programming trick if somebody employed it efficiently...
