Updates,
when I debug my array its looks like this,
0 'gup.pl ; cd /and/updates'
1 'ck.pl; cd /and/release/runtime'
Now.....I am separating commands like,
my ($run_cmd, $chdir_cmd) = split(';',$run[$element],2);
Now my $chdir_cmd holds looks like this,
DB<3> x $chdir_cmd
0 ' cd /and/updates'
Now I want to get rid of single quote "'" so I did
$chdir_cmd =~ s/'/"/g;
but its not working! don't know why?
when I pass above $chdir_cmd to my ch_dir()function
I am getting following error
No such file or directory at test.pl line 254.
my function to change directory looks like this,
sub ch_dir
{
my ($cmd) = @_;
$cmd =~ s/cd //;
chdir($cmd) || die $!;
}
But it works if I pass path like this,
my $ cmd = "cd /and/updates";
ch_dir($cmd);
I am lost, Any suggestion? Please
Cheers
